Great weather proof "nifty fifty"
I'm using this on an X-Pro2 and it's really surprising what it does for the price. I've also owned the 35mm f/1.4 but there's a difference between them that goes beyond the widest aperture. Neither one is objectively superior and they have different qualities. For what I do I think I like the general rendering of this f/2 aperture version better. In addition, it's faster focusing, way quieter and less "clunky" in operation. It's sharp, versatile and built well. For what you pay, you get an excellent standard prime. If you're a wide-open bokeh purist the more expensive f/1.4 is better, but the f/2 version is perhaps a better lens overall when you consider every aspect -- at least for me. The image I'm posting was made with this lens -- it's post processed for the look but I think the high quality of the source image from this lens is still apparent.

One of the best lenses for Fuji cameras
I know that is a bold statement, but considering its size and weight, I have to give it that title. This lens is so good, I bought it a second time. Build quality is excellent, it is mostly made of metal, and is completely weather sealed. Don’t go dunk it in a pool, but it will survive a rain storm, snow storm and dust. Just clean it off carefully and you’ll be good to go. The reason I call this one of Fuji’s best lenses is that at 35mm, you’ll get a 50mm focal length, which is a good length for almost any situation. It is just wide enough to keep your environment in the background when shooting a portrait photo and just tight enough to create a pleasing background blur. Micro contrast and colors are so good with this lens. There is hardly any vignetting and chromatic aberration. If I could only pick one lens out of a bunch, I would take this one time and time again. It pairs very nicely with any Fuji body. Keep in mind that there is no OiS on this lens, so unless your Fuji camera body has it, you will have to hold it steady for video recording. Autofocus on this lens is quick and fast, and silent. If you’re looking for your first prime lens, I highly recommend this one for starters. Especially if you’re trying to keep your camera compact and lightweight.

Great compact all around images.
I wanted a small unobtrusive lens with a standard field of view and this fits the bill. Though it's only f/2 this allows for a smaller profile and with a little forethought, I'm still able to get great separation of my subject from the background. It's not the lens for creamy bokeh, but the speed of focus is more what I was looking for.

Best!
This is one of the best portrait lens out there! Paired it with my XT-5 and it produces very great image!

Lives on my camera for artistic shoots!
Phenomenal little lens. I switched to Fujifilm in order to take advantage of it's smaller lenses and this guy has been a joy to shoot with. I shoot a lot of candids in the street and I find that less people react to me waving the camera with this lens in front of them. Did I mention that the lens is also tack sharp almost all through the range. Maybe just a little edge softness wide open but that is usually fine for me as I only shoot wide open for portraits, where my subject is nowhere near the edges of the frame. This lens has basically lived on my camera since I bought it and only the similarly priced and sized XF23mm comes close to dethroning.

Fast to focus
Pros: Lightweight, yet durable Super fast auto-focus Very small and lightweight Great bokeh Cons: Too small to work well with my ring light softbox Not sure it has OIS. It doesn't have a switch on the side like my 18-135. Does not work well with a macro extension tube

Great lens for the price
Great lens for the camera, depending on the camera body you have, 35mm may be 50mm instead due to the crop, but still a sharp lens.
