Not worth the money, Returning this coming week
Shipped in manufacture boxs, received heavily damaged! Paying over a grand for a monitor at least have the decency to ship it in an additional brown box($2 cost) for protection of any element it encounters on it’s journey to the retail purchasers home. We have the samsung 49” oled and the quality is so much better clear and crisper! Returning the LG this coming week

Great monitor but a bit too expensive.
Oled is quite amazing, honestly you really have to experience to really understand what youre missing out on. As far into the future as I can see, I will only be buying oled monitors/tvs as long as my budget will allow me to. This monitor was a joy to use and I really did feel a bit of pain when I decided to return it. The problem with it is the price. All competing qd-oled monitors are cheaper and in my opionion provide a more pleasant looking image (this monitor still blows any LCD out of the water though). I did notice this monitor does look a bit washed out with high hdr brightness and dark scenes did lose more detail than I would hope. This does have excellent text clarity and didnt notice any issues like I have with a 1440p qd-oled but that could just be down to the vastly higher pixel density on this display. Matte coating on the screen is fine, I do prefer glossy but this is accetable and may be preferred if you would be using this is a bright room. The 480hz mode is not very usable in my opinion. I may just not be as competitive player as I use to be but I didnt find myself switching over to it very much. I tried it in Overwatch and just couldnt get over the pixelated look of everything. It definitely looks very smooth and almost life like but honestly the jump from 240 to 480 on an oled doesnt provide the level of improvement to warrant the massive drop in resolution imo. I personally would wait for the 480hz 1440p LG woled monitor thats suppose to release within the next couple of months if youre really interested in the best motion fluidity and which should be sold at a cheaper price. If this monitor was a $1000 I feel like it might just be a no brainer for people looking for a monitor that can kinda just do it all. I do feel like a $1000 4k qd-oled might be a bit nicer for people only looking to use it in 4k 240hz mode but I have yet to use one of those.

Buy it now if money is no object- A+ monitor!
Although it is pricey, if you can get a good deal on it I would definitely recommend it. Don’t worry about the matte finish complainers. When you see this thing in person you’ll be amazed. Yeh maybe the glossy finish of course will be more crisp but honestly coming from someone who’s tried out the AW3225qf and the LG C3 42in, it’s not drastically so different. It still pops and looks sharp and incredible. Honestly I can’t tell the different. Maybe if I had them side by side maybe but otherwise, using this monitor on day to day for games and productivity-I do not miss having a QC-oled glossy. However one thing I would say is that its price does need to be under $1000 or at least under $1100 for me to say YES BUY IT. $1400 is just greedy status at that point. I mean yeah the dual mode and I guess maybe they’re marketing it at that segment who wants that I guess. But if they really wanna sell a ton of these put this baby down to below 1100 $1050 the sweet spot and you got a banger. In some ways it’s better than the QD-oleds especially if your setup you’re light controlled. I like the window being behind my desk and that would probably destroy my experience with the glare but on this bad boy just with a little curtain I have no issues with the bright window behind me (directly in front of the screen) -Dual mode works flawless -very low input lag -deep deep oled black -very nice speakers (I sold me old pc speakers don’t need them anymore with the sound from this bad boy-if I want more immersive sound just pop on my headphones) All in all if money is no object yes get it otherwise, wait for it to go down prob around under 1100 it’s a no brainer. Otherwise stick to your AW3423DWF (I’m prob going back to-just can’t see myself spending $1500 on monitor yet)

Great Monitor, poor pricing
Found it hard to justify the price, especially because it was missing a few features to make it feel worth it, such as; USBC, Glossy display (Not a deal breaker, but why not?) An extra DisplayPort wouldn't hurt either. All in all, the monitor image is great, but just left me wondering that I can get better or same quality with an LG C3 or newer, except I would get more for my money. Its a shame, because if LG had included those extra features, people would find it easier to justify the price, but as it is it feels more like a $1000 monitor. The monitor itself is great, but the price not so much.

Okay but has issues
So I ended up returning this because out of the box in SDR and HDR there is a substantial amount of black crush happening and it's the worst I've seen on an OLED (my LG CX 48 in for example does not have this issue). Also there was some weird gamma issue where it was randomly raising the black levels of the black bars at the top and bottom of movies during playback. I'm guessing these are firmware issues and they can fix them via an update but there is no guarantee of that and who knows how long you might have to wait. As it stands you have to pump up the black stabilizer to like 70 to adjust for the black crush issue and that seems to somewhat wash out the entire picture in doing so. Also, while the matte coating is fairly tame and it's not super caked on I didn't find it any better than my Acer XB27HU1's coating and in some ways it was worse. The finer grain seems to cause more chromatic shimmering in white or light colored areas (this was especially noticeable in Bioshock Infinite as that has a bright light color palate. I've used glossy and matte panels throughout the years, and while I will always prefer glossy I don't mind using matte...but this coating for some reason seems to have that "can't unsee it" kind of thing going on for me. Other than that the monitor itself seemed great, no dead pixels and the size and refresh rate are perfect for a standard sized desk compared to a 48in TV. I guess I will try one of the QD-OLED monitors instead.

A decent option for competitive FPS players
Handles reflections and brighter room conditions well, unlike QD-oled alternatives. Matte finish on the screen may bother some people. Color vibrancy is comparable to OLED phone screens and tablets, which is great, but can fall behind QD-OLED options. 1080p full 480 Hz is achievable on a few games like overwatch and rainbow six siege with reasonable hardware, otherwise, gamers may find it hard reach that target even at 1080p. Unless gamers have top of the line specs, may find it hard to fully leverage 4K high framerate gameplay potential of this monitor in single player titles without upscaling. I imagine the ability to fully leverage the monitor will improve over time as GPU/CPUs improve. HDR experience is excellent, although some might complain about HDR accuracy. Overall, would recommend over other options if one plays competitive FPS games and wishes to leverage above 240 hz refresh rates.

An Absolute Beast.
I replaced my 2021/2022 Asus 27' 1440p 275hz lcd monitor with this one. I've had it going on 3 weeks now and overall I love it. I think unless you are the ultimate screen snob, you'll love this monitor. For reference I have had my share of top TV's recently. High end Samsung mini led's as well as the 2022 Samsung S95B OLED that I use pretty much every day. It has the gloss screen and all that and is gorgeous. When I'm using this monitor, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. I'll admit this is my first OLED monitor and I waited long and hard before I pulled the trigger but overall I've been very pleased. It is bright and inky. I'm using it with my Windows 11 gaming PC Build as well as an M1 Mac mini. Both look and perform great on this beast. Gaming wise, I'm in love. Coming from a 27' 1440p monitor I was a little worried that in my competitive games going back to 1080p would stink, but it's not a big deal at all and usually not even noticeable. the 480hz OLED when playing competitively is just marvelously smooth. And when I'm not gaming this thing is always in 4k/240hz and it brings Windows 11 to life! lol. All in all I love it. The sound quality is excellent even though I have my own external sound system + headset. The switching between 1080p and 4K takes on average about 3-4 seconds. I've been very impressed so far. Wish it was cheaper but you're paying for high end bleeding edge tech. I wouldn't listen to much to these people talking about the screen and what not. Unless you are wayyyy overboard about those kind of things it will moreeee than meet your needs. I think it is gorgeous. Now I just have to upgrade some of my hardware on the PC to take full advantage of the 480hz lol

HDR clips at 600 in W11 & black levels are crush
The HDR clips at 600 in games & the Windows calibration app on W11 w/ Gamer 1/2 modes. The only time you can get HDR above 600 in Windows is if you use RTS/FPS/Vivid mode where it locks you out off multiple picture settings, raises to sharpness to terrible levels (can't adjust it), has absolute terrible colors & applies some sort of DTM where it will then clip at 2800. Clearly not normal. HDR also introduces black crush. This can be confirmed w/ a black level NIT test pattern made for HDR via YouTube. You can also confirm this in the Windows HDR calibration app where the image will disappear even at 0.1150. The black level image is supposed to disappear at .0100 like every other LG OLED. The only way to fix this is to raise black stabilizer from 50 to 75+ but then it raises all black levels to IPS like levels. Rushed to the market. These issues need to be address in a firmware update. Extremely disappointed.

LG OLED. 240-480HZ. 4K Res. THIS is a true monitor
This is one of if not the best gaming monitor to hit the market right now. If you are looking for a gaming monitor with 4K res, a great refresh rate, low response time, and OLED then this checks all the boxes and much more. I purchased this monitor to upgrade from the 27 inch LG OLED monitor because it was a beast of an upgrade and to see if it was worth the purchase. Never dreamed of getting a monitor this big for my setup or even replacing the 27 inch but it does not disappoint. This monitor offers more brightness and better color than what I got from the 27 inch LG OLED monitor with a higher resolution to top it off. The speakers are decent but I still use a dedicated source of sound for the experience. Honestly, I could not give you a reason not to get this monitor. If you want the best and don't have a set budget to work within, this monitor is my recommendation to you.
