2nd Surface Pro: From 4 to 7
This is my 2nd Surface, I started with a Survey 4 having used both PC/laptops and the Mac Tablet, I was looking for something that was more of a hybrid - and thus my love for the Surface. Its not the best laptop, nor, table, in the world, yet, to me, it is the best of both worlds in terms of an integrated, multi-use product. I'm a professor, I use it for my work, teaching, research, and personal - a true workhorse. When I'm working at home, or in the office, I connect it to an external monitor and decking station and it meets my needs. Very pleased with my new Surface Pro 7 and was happy to be able use the keyboard and pen from my prior Surface. Pricy, yet worth it!

Good product, more PC than tablet
After exclusively having iPads for tablet needs for 8 years, I decided to try the Surface Pro. My problem was that I needed a laptop, but wanted a touchscreen. I'm not a big fan of 2-in-1 laptops, so I found a good deal on the surface and went for it. So far, so good. The newest generation includes a decent hibernation feature, so it turns on quickly. It's powerful enough for any productivity apps I need, and because it's full fledged Windows, I can put an program I need on it. I even tried running Sea of Thieves just see what it looked like. Not good, but it does run! I removed a star for a several reasons. - While the kickstand is great, it prevents it from resting on your lap comfortably. Really only a problem for me if I do work on it. - It's heavy, for a tablet. Not the most comfortable to hold and use to surf the web or read. - After being asleep, it takes a while for it to reconnect to your network. Hopefully something that can be resolved with a Windows update. The positives outweigh the negatives, though. Especially with the accessories. While I don't like that they're sold separately, well, pretty much every "premium" model from any company is similar. Apple finally copied the keyboard, which is my favorite part of the setup. Since I got a returned model, I could afford to invest in all the accessories. The keyboard and pen are the best, the mouse is OK. To sum up, if you need (or just want, and can afford it) a tablet that can double as a very decent PC, the Surface Pro is a great way to go. But, if you just need something for entertainment purposes, I'd say iPad and Android tablets are still king.
