Excellent for nature photography
First off .. this is a HEAVY LENS (you do need a tripod to help you out) and yes, that case it comes with (and the shoulder straps for the lens itself) is very HANDY INDEED (it stabilizes me and prevents it from falling when I put it on the camera body) but I do enjoy nature photography and nowadays being older, I have a rolling small airline case that I use to hold tripod, lenses and camera body So this one does indeed provide a great choice when photographing birds in wild (I wouldn't have gotten my eagle shots without it!)

Great birding lens
Great birding lens for the money. I have a Canon t6i and they work very well together. A sturdy tripod is a must for spot-on pictures as it is rather heavy and not so much a hand-holding lens. I would definitely recommend purchasing the USB Dock to set-up the lens the way you want it and also to upgrade the software.

Excellent Purchase
This lens is AWESOME! The only thing is that it is heavy but you can purchase a strap or harness.

Great Lens for Stunning Images
I was in the market for a medium/long-distance lens for nature/wildlife/sports photography before discovering this model. After some practice with the settings and gearing it for my camera body (Canon M50), it's a question as to why I waited so long to make the purchase! This is now my go-to lens in my arsenal and will be for years to come!

Great Long Range Lens
Excellent telephoto lens for long range shots. Great for PI work, nature shots and sports shots. This lens is a manual and fully automatic. You just need a steady hand to handle this baby.

Must have lens
Love this lens. Coupled with the Canon EOS 80D DSLR, results in excellent pictures. Primarily shoot wildlife with this lens and have excellent results. This combination is very responsive and it is a rarity that I miss shots now. Lens quality is great for the money.

Great First Super Telephoto Lens
This lens is a good introduction to the world of super telephoto lenses. As such, you should expect a learning curve until you learn how get the most out of it. In fact, I highly recommend the Sigma Dock as companion purchase so that you tune the lens to your camera. The images were good prior to calibration, Images are pretty stunning afterwards. The calibration process can be time consuming, which consists of taking test shots under 16 different scenarios. However, you are rewarded with excellent images, provided you are thorough and take your time.
